For many years, obedience to God’s calling shaped my life and work, grounding me deeply in Scripture and theological formation. That season taught me the discipline of faithfulness, the weight of truth, and the responsibility of stewarding God’s Word with integrity.
In this new season, my calling has not ended; it has deepened. My focus has shifted from leading structured study platforms to serving the Word in a quieter but equally intentional way: through writing, editorial discernment, and publishing. I now dedicate my work to preserving truth, refining voices, and supporting others in faithfully communicating what God has entrusted to them.
Everything I do remains rooted in biblical principles, obedience to my calling, never in my own power, and always under the guidance of the Holy Spirit.
She is a born-again Jesus follower, wife to Johan, mother of eight, and grandmother of four.
Born in Robertson in the Western Cape, Amanda spent 33 years in a fulfilling corporate career at Sanlam. Those years shaped her with discipline, insight, and a deep appreciation for people and process.
After leaving corporate life, she entered a season of exploration, spending nearly ten years involved in various business ventures. These years added practical experience and broadened her understanding of leadership, service, and stewardship. Yet it was a life-changing encounter with God that ultimately and decisively redirected her path.
This encounter led Amanda into formal theological studies and the establishment of a Bible College that served as a platform for theological training, facilitation, and spiritual formation. For more than seven years, she walked alongside students, many of them active pastors, using established curricula to support their growth. During this time, she witnessed a deep transformation, not only in biblical knowledge, but in godly character and spiritual maturity.
As the Bible School approached the end of its season, another chapter quietly began to unfold. Amanda sensed a clear shift: a call to slow down, to spend more intentional time in God’s presence, and to engage deeply with Scripture itself.
In this new season, she continues to write her own books and create content for her radio programme, while also translating these reflections into shorter weekly blogs shared through her personal platforms and social media. Her focus has moved from structured student programmes to mentoring and serving others, especially fellow writers, researchers, and faith-based voices through editorial and publishing support.
She finds deep joy in helping others express what God has placed in their hearts with clarity, accuracy, and faithfulness to the Word of God.
Another new season God has graciously opened, marked by a different way of discipling (Matt 28:19–20): mentoring others as sent by Holy Spirit, and supporting writers through editorial discernment and publishing.
Always to honour and glorify her Lord and Saviour, Jesus Christ.
